Today we are going to explore Instagram stories new option on its update. Now this feature is very similar to Snapchat and I don’t even think Instagram would deny that.
What’s new in its feature well there are some differences, some subtle, some not so subtle, just like Snapchat. However, your stories are ephemeral which means the clips inside those stories only last for 24 hours before they disappear automatically. so they’re not taking up your timeline this is a great feature for those of you who are afraid of over posting or spamming your timeline. Now you can post as many photos and clips within a story as you wish and it doesn’t spam your timeline. Yes, people choose when to watch your stories so you better know how to use it to create a new story.
HOW to use it:
simply swipe over from the Home tab or you can tap the new story button in the upper left-hand corner of the Home tab. which is right there so tap that and you can swipe back to get back to the Home tab. Then we add photos to a story so let’s tap the new story tab to add additional clips to a story or to start a brand new story. so you can tap to focus and then once you’re ready to take your shot just tap the shutter button just like that and now you’re ready to add that clip to your story to do so just tap the little check mark button right over there and now it’s added to your story. to view your new addition just tap your story avatar button in the upper left-hand corner of the Home tab. like this there you go that’s a pretty nice start.so now you can add as much as videos you want to share.
The timing of video:
we get 10 seconds to film our video and just continue and once you’re finished or once the 10 seconds of lapses your video will stop and it will start looping automatically. And then you can do the same thing to add that video clip to your story just tap the checkmark button to add that video clip.
now what if you took photos in the last 24 hours and you want to add those to your story what you do just swipe down instead of pressing the shutter button to access footage from your photo library that you can add to your story so once you’ve settled on something just tap it and there it goes. Now you can add that to your story and just like any other camera app you can access the flash you can turn it always-on or set it to auto. Now you can also use the interface to switch between your rear facing and your front facing camera. These are like Snapchat you can also draw on your photos and videos by tabbing the drawing button and you’ll see three different tips that you can use you have your normal tip, you have your highlighter, and you also have a glowing tip. And if you make a mistake there is an undo button that you can use to undo. It’s mostly tools are like Windows paint application easy to use and understand.
Hope you like my review on it.
